About Micah

As a therapist, I believe our relationships deeply shape who we are. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and create meaningful change, and I see therapy as a collaborative space to support that process. I welcome children ages five and older, adults, and couples, with a particular interest in working with children and helping couples navigate relationship concerns.

My approach is grounded in the belief that our stories matter. As an attachment-focused therapist, I pay attention to the relationships and experiences that have shaped you—both within your family of origin and throughout your life. Understanding where we come from can help us make sense of where we are today and create new possibilities for how we relate to ourselves and others.

I have experience across multiple levels of mental health care, including outpatient community care, family counseling, and inpatient settings. I work with each client to understand what brings them to therapy and what they hope to gain from the process. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, attachment-based approaches, and other systemic perspectives, adapting our work to each person's needs, strengths, goals, and stage of life.

I want therapy to be a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported in making choices about your direction. Whether we're working through relationship difficulties, helping a child better understand their emotions, or exploring patterns that leave you feeling stuck, my hope is to help you build greater understanding and connection—with yourself and with the people who matter to you.

I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working toward independent licensure. At Vita, I provide therapy under the clinical supervision of co-founder Katy Pohland, LMFT, and meet with her for two hours of individual supervision each week. This ongoing collaboration supports thoughtful treatment planning, continued professional development, and the care I provide to my clients.
