What We Offer

Care for where you are — and where you want to go

At Vita Therapy Collective, we offer thoughtful, individualized therapy for people across the lifespan, in person at our State College office and online via telehealth. Whether you are facing a specific challenge, carrying the effects of difficult experiences, struggling in an important relationship, or simply recognizing that something in your life needs to change, therapy can offer a place to begin.

Individual Therapy

A private space to slow down

  • Anxiety, depression & emotional distress
  • Trauma & the effects of difficult experiences
  • Grief and loss
  • Stress, burnout & feeling overwhelmed
  • Relationship and family difficulties
  • Identity, self-esteem & belonging
  • Major decisions and life transitions
  • School, work, caregiving & family pressures
  • Longstanding patterns that no longer feel helpful
  • A desire for greater meaning, connection, or growth

A note on beginning

You don't need to know what to say, or to have a name for what you're feeling. The first conversation is simply a beginning — a chance to see if we're a good fit for the work you want to do.

Together, you and your therapist will identify what matters most and develop an approach that reflects your needs, strengths, and goals.

Without a crisis, too

You do not have to wait until your relationship is in crisis. Couples therapy can also support partners who want to understand each other more deeply and build a healthier, more connected relationship.

Couples Therapy

Deeply meaningful — and deeply challenging

Relationships can be deeply meaningful — and deeply challenging. Couples therapy provides a supportive space to better understand one another, recognize recurring patterns, communicate more effectively, and work through conflict.

It may also help couples rebuild trust, navigate a transition or loss, strengthen emotional connection, or make thoughtful decisions about the future of their relationship.

Family Therapy

Families, continually changing

Families continually change as people grow, relationships shift, and new challenges emerge. Even families who care deeply about one another can become caught in patterns that leave everyone feeling frustrated, hurt, or misunderstood.

Family therapy focuses on the relationships within the family rather than identifying one person as the problem. We help family members understand one another's perspectives, communicate more effectively, navigate conflict and transitions, and develop healthier ways of relating.

Not about blame

The goal is not to decide who is to blame. It is to help families create greater understanding and find a more workable path forward.

Care Across the Lifespan

Different stages, different needs

Different stages of life bring different emotional, relational, and developmental needs. Vita was created to provide care that recognizes those differences while continuing to see every client as a whole person.

Sessions are available in person at our State College office and online via telehealth.

Children & Adolescents

Therapy can support young people experiencing anxiety, emotional or behavioral difficulties, family changes, school concerns, relationship challenges, identity development, low self-esteem, or the effects of stressful experiences. When appropriate, we work collaboratively with parents and caregivers while respecting the young person's growing need for trust, privacy, and autonomy.

Adults

Adults may seek therapy while navigating relationships, work and family demands, trauma, grief, caregiving, identity, parenthood, major decisions, or transitions they never expected. Others come because they feel stuck, disconnected, or ready to understand themselves in a deeper way.

Older Adults

Later life can bring meaningful opportunities as well as profound changes. Therapy may provide support with retirement, changing roles, health concerns, caregiving, grief, family relationships, questions of meaning and identity, or the cumulative impact of life experiences.
